This is the 3rd in HumanWare's series of Snapshot videos highlighting the BrailleNote Apex's upcoming support of the Nemeth Braille code. If you missed our previous videos, click below to be introduced to this revolutionary new functionality.
KeySoft 9.4 Snapshot 1 - Typing Nemeth
KeySoft 9.4 Snapshot 2 - Exporting Nemeth as a Word document
The previous snapshot videos described how the Nemeth code will be included in KeySoft 9.4. Simply switch from literary braille to Nemeth Braille and begin typing in the word processor. The Apex will speak nemeth symbols correctly and if you want a print copy for sighted teachers or peers, it is as easy as connecting a printer, or saving the KeySoft braille file as a Microsoft word document.
The Nemeth code is quite complex and contains some symbols that are rarely used, so what happens if you forget how to enter a specific symbol? Don't worry, KeySoft 9.4 has you covered using a new tool called the Nemeth Symbol Selector, which contains specific Nemeth symbols, organized into categories which you can select. Simply choose your desired symbol and KeySoft will put it into your document for you. Once in your document, you can instantly read the specific braille dots which make up that symbol, so you can remember how to type it yourself the next time.
Click on the video below to view some examples of how to use the Nemeth Symbol Selector.

KeySoft 9.4 will be a completely free upgrade coming to your BrailleNote Apex this fall 2013.
