We’re thrilled to share some fantastic new features for Annie that will empower learners to thrive and give teachers greater flexibility to customize their learning experiences.
Here’s what’s new this year with the latest update on Annie:
1. Skipping instructions
Learners can now skip instructions, giving them the freedom to learn at their own pace. Teachers can enable this functionality for individual students directly on Helios.
💡We hope you remember that Right Key is the triangular key on the right of the Spacebar, and Enter Key is the circular key below key-6 on Annie’skeyboard!
Bonus tip: If you skipped an important instruction and want to listen it again, double-press the ‘Repeat’ button on Annie.
2. Teacher’s chosen words got even better!
Teachers can now add phrases (not just words!) in the “Teacher’s chosen words” functionality on Helios. This allows for personalised learning content, tailored to each student’s needs and proficiency.
3. A more exciting whack-a-key game
The much-loved Whack-a-Key game is now better than ever! With the new update, Annie will now prompt learners to press multiple keys in sequence, making it more engaging and challenging. This enhancement helps learners strengthen their Braille typing skills while having fun!
Ensure Annie is connected to Wi-Fi to receive these exciting changes. If you have any questions, contact our support team.
